Single Leg Chain Sling

Exactly as its name indicates, single leg chain sling consists of a single chain length that is used to support a lifted load. This type of sling caters to an even load distribution condition. You can obtain chain slings that offer sling hooks, master links, foundry hooks, and sling grab books. Various types of single leg chain slings are adjustable and others are able to support many types of basket configurations. The size of these links goes up to 7/8 of an inch with a grade 80 chain configuration. Links that are 1 ¼ inch thick are used with grade 100 chain slings. In some cases you can have chain slings that have 70,000 pound weight capacity ratings.

Double Leg Chain Slings

There are two distinct links and a double leg chain sling that provide lift support. These slings give you various options, including foundry hook, sling hook, and grab hook. Some of the slings include an adjustable configuration and others a double endless basket. Particular models can have weight capacities in excess of 100,000 pounds. They come in 7/8 inch and 1 ¼ length sizes corresponding to grade 80 and grade 100 versions respectively.

Multi Leg Chain Slings

If you need considerably higher lifting capabilities, you may want to turn to a multi-leg chain sling. These devices can handle load capacities in excess of 180,000 pounds. As with all other slings, these configurations must be properly set up and used in order to function safely. You can have three or more chains with this type of unit. You will find that these units, with the same grade options as the double and single leg sling products.
